Introduction
Hello Divine Creator, and thanks for signing up to be an Alpha tester for Beasts of Balance Battles. You’re amongst the first to get your hands on this brand new way to play BoB, and we’re relying on you to help us make the game as polished, bug-free and FUN as we can before we launch.
What’s an Alpha anyway?
An Alpha build essentially means that we’re still in the act of making the game. Features are still missing (for instance you’ll notice a lot of the menus don’t really explain themselves very well). There may well be game-breaking bugs, or features that don’t work as you might expect them to. And in a nutshell, that’s exactly the reason Alpha tests exist – to find things that don’t work so that we can fix them before we release.
How to give feedback
We’re relying on your honest feedback to make Battles as good as possible. To make things easy we’ve created this forum for you to capture any thoughts or feedback you might have, as well as to describe any bugs you might find.

Battles is still in development and we'd really like to keep it under wraps until it’s further along the development process. With that in mind we'd like to ask you to keep information about Battles confidential, to refrain from capturing and posting game content to social media, and to restrict your thoughts and feedback to the private Battles alpha zendesk forum.
How to install the Alpha build
These steps will help you install a special test version of Beasts of Balance, containing the Battles Alpha.
Once the Alpha phase has ended, the app will become inactive and all data will be lost. Unfortunately it will not be possible to transfer data (including bestiary unlocks) to your original BoB app.
Please do not uninstall your current version of the Beasts of Balance app. Doing so will delete all of your data and unlocked bestiary entries. This will make you sad, which will make us sad too.
Apple devices
If you are an Apple user, you will receive an email notification from Apple in the next 24 hours. In this email will be an invitation to download TestFlight, their testing platform. You will need to then download TestFlight on the given device that you will be playing on. Open the TestFlight app and then download Beasts of Balance Alpha to your device. The TestFlight version won’t replace your original copy of the Beasts of Balance app, and won’t use or overwrite any saved game data.
Android devices
and follow the instructions given to install Beasts of Balance Alpha to your device. The test app won’t replace your original copy of the Beasts of Balance app, and won’t use or overwrite any saved game data.
Kindle devices
If you are a Kindle user, you will receive an email directly from Amazon in the next 24 hours inviting you to the test. This email will contain a direct link to the download for the Beasts of Balance Alpha test app. You will then be able to download this to your Amazon device. The test app won’t replace your original copy of the Beasts of Balance app, and won’t use or overwrite any saved game data.

If you experience any problems when trying to download the app to your device, please comment below and we'll be happy to help. The Beasts of Balance Alpha app is entirely separate from the original app, so please do not try to solve any problems by uninstalling or resetting data on the original app.
