Put all items on plinth then got black screen

I was playing a game with 2 guardians (land and sea, in case that's relevant), and placed every piece in the base game (all I own so far). In co-op mode this would double your score and end the game. In battles I got a congratulation message that it had doubled my score, and then a black screen. Tapping did nothing.

Tried moving in and out of the app several times - that would sometimes produce a different message that showed briefly, but it kept going back to the black screen straight away so I couldn't read the message.

I'm running the latest version of the app (updated this morning) on my Nexus 5X running Android 8.1.0.

We've just played a 3 guardian game and after placing the final piece in the stack we got the black screen too. There was background music still playing, but no way to continue.

Doulble tapping and going back into the app made no difference.

Just to make sure it wasn't a one off, we fully stacked again (3 player), saw the score double screen and then once again the app went to a black screen.
