Amazon Kindle Fire HD8 kids profile

Any tips on getting the app to start under a kids profile on the Kindle Fire HD8? I have it working fine under my profile, but on the kids profile the app fails to start with an error stating it needs location privileges.

  That's because it needs location privileges for the plinth to work
