Once you launch the app and start a new game you should see an empty "world screen" like so:
If you see a screen with the message "Please ensure the plinth is clear..." or "Please clear the plinth of any Artefacts..." instead then there might be a problem with the Plinth:
HINT: As silly as it sounds, please make sure that nothing is touching the top of the Plinth and that you're playing the game on a flat, stable surface. Make sure no-one is accidentally wobbling the table too!
Firstly, if the message screen also shows a button saying "START" then please press that and continue to try to play the game. The app or Plinth was probably just confused for a moment!
If the problem continues, or no "START" button is visible then you might have a defective Plinth... :-(
